Bloomberg: Dolce & Gabbana was sued by a customer for problems in delivering its NFTs

On May 17, Bloomberg reported that Dolce & Gabbana USA Inc. was sued by a customer who claimed that he spent $6,000 on NFTs with clothing worn in the metaverse, but lost 97% of their value due to delivery problems from the Italian luxury fashion company.

According to the complaint, the NFTs sold by the company were advertised as "a range of digital, physical and experiential benefits" and could be bought and sold on the Ethereum cryptocurrency blockchain. Dolce & Gabbana allegedly told consumers that buying DGFamily NFTs would give them access to a variety of digital rewards, physical products and exclusive events.

But according to the complaint filed in Manhattan federal court on Thursday, the delivery of the NFTs was delayed, and the special benefits promised to customers were also delayed. According to the complaint, the digital clothing arrived 20 days late from its scheduled time and was "only available on a metaverse platform with almost no users."
