Ultra, a PC market for blockchain and traditional "Web2" video games, is about to realize one of its key selling points: launching the first digital PC game that can be resold to other users through tokenized licenses, Decrypt reported. On Wednesday, Ultra will launch the feature for "Josh Journey: Darkness Totems", a cartoon-style action game that has previously been released on PC through markets such as Steam and Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox game stores. The game has received "positive" user reviews on Steam and does not contain any in-game cryptocurrency or NFT elements. Developer Provincia Studio will sell "Josh Journey" through the Ultra platform, and if the buyer decides not to use it anymore, they can list it for sale on Ultra's second-hand market. Developers who enable this completely optional feature will receive a portion of the revenue from the resale price and can control aspects such as the royalty share and the minimum resale price. The license for the digital game is represented by an NFT on Ultra's first-layer blockchain (a fork of the EOS network). When the game is resold, the NFT (or "Uniq" as Ultra calls it) will be transferred to the new owner, who will have legal rights to the game.
