Bitcoin Governance Faces Division! BIP-110 Is Shut Down, and the Knots Roadmap Sparks Controversy ⚠️
领取短线超高胜率策略The Bitcoin ecosystem has recently once again seen governance disputes.
The disagreement surrounding BIP-110 is widening. After the implementation branch was initiated, the proposal remained at block height 961,633, and then the official record marked it as “closed.” In simple terms, BIP-110 tried to push changes to Bitcoin network rules, but due to insufficient support, the forked chain failed to keep expanding and ultimately had no effective impact.
This has also triggered discussion within the community about how Bitcoin should be governed.
XRP Ledger architect David Schwartz publicly criticized Bitcoin Knots for describing the current situation as “the network being attacked,” saying that such wording could mislead people who don’t understand the background.
The core of the controversy is not Bitcoin technology itself, but:
🔹 Who gets to decide the direction of the network’s future?
🔹 Can a small group of developers drive major changes?
🔹 How can decentralized governance balance different viewpoints?
Meanwhile, Bitcoin Knots continues to push its own roadmap and plans to select a new proof-of-work algorithm through community mechanisms, which may mean more future discussions about mining mechanisms and network rules. In addition, changes to BIP editing permissions further reflect the governance pressure being experienced within the Bitcoin development community.
Bitcoin’s biggest feature is that there is no single center that can decide the future.
But this also means that every time rules change, the community, developers, and miners must continually coordinate.
