At TOKEN2049 Singapore on October 8, @justinsuntron joined @KevinWSHPod to discuss TRON’s development and its direction in the AI era. The conversation connected blockchain infrastructure with a broader question: how can technology solve practical problems for users? Stablecoins provide a useful example. Whether someone is receiving a payment, sending money to family, or settling a business transaction, the experience depends on accessible tools, understandable costs, and reliable transfers. This also offers a practical way to evaluate TRON’s future development. Transaction activity can show that a network is being used, but it does not automatically prove that users are satisfied or will return. Ease of use and consistent performance matter too. As TRON explores new applications, the strongest progress will come from products that remove friction and give people a clear reason to keep using them. Long-term adoption is built through utility people can trust and experiences they choose to repeat. @TRONDAO @JustinSun #token2049 #TRONEcoStar

At TOKEN2049 on October 8, Justin Sun identified the convergence of crypto and AI agents as a major opportunity over the next five years. Consider an AI agent purchasing computing resources, accessing paid data, or paying for a service to complete a task. Each step requires more than a payment method. The agent must operate within authorized spending limits, execute the transaction correctly, and verify that the service was delivered. Stablecoins and blockchain infrastructure offer potential building blocks for these workflows, but secure permissions, accountability, and reliable execution remain essential. For TRON, the opportunity is to turn its existing payment infrastructure into something developers can use to build practical AI-driven financial applications. The real test is not whether AI agents can send payments, but whether they can transact safely, efficiently, and reliably with appropriate human oversight. @TRONDAO @JustinSun #token2049 #TRONEcoStar

GasFree is treating Token2049 Singapore as a working demonstration instead: a booth where people can meet the team, try the product, and leave with a clearer sense of how stablecoin transfers on TRON can avoid an extra gas token. The practical invitation is straightforward. Visitors can stop by the GasFree booth, speak directly with the team, and see how the service removes the need to hold TRX solely to move USDT or USDD. The same transfer that once required a separate energy balance can be completed with the fee handled inside the stablecoin itself, keeping the experience closer to a single-asset send. On-site elements include: • Direct conversation with the GasFree team • Live explanation of gas-abstracted USDT and USDD transfers on TRON • The chance to test a transfer that does not depend on holding TRX • A Fortune Pot with small surprises for those who stop by Beyond the product demo, the booth is also a place to discuss the wider context—stablecoin payments, the growing role of AI agents that need reliable on-chain execution, and the general push toward fewer friction points in everyday Web3 transactions. The underlying claim remains simple: if the only asset a user wants to move is USDT or USDD, the process should not stall because TRX is missing from the wallet. Token2049 brings together builders, users and operators who already care about these details. GasFree is present to show one concrete solution in person rather than only on a documentation page. Anyone who spots the team is welcome to walk over, ask questions, try a transfer, and take part in whatever the Fortune Pot happens to hold that day. No extra gas token, fewer steps, and a direct conversation in Singapore. That is the offer at the booth. #GasFreeToken2049 @DeFi_JUST @justinsuntron #TRONEcoStar #token2049

The Great Conversation at TOKEN2049 Today Morning: Where Finance Is Going Next This morning, at TOKEN2049 in Singapore, the message is clear – Finance is not choosing between TradFi and DeFi anymore, but converging. Panelists on stage: 25,000+ attendees, 300+ speakers, including BlackRock, Nasdaq, Morgan Stanley, Coinbase, and Polygon in one room at Marina Bay Sands. Day 1 was crypto-native product development, Day 2 is institutional plumbing only – tokenization, stablecoins, RWAs and always-on markets. Key points from the conversation today: 1. Agentic Finance is here – AI agents managing actual portfolio, bringing parity to retail and institutional investors, digesting data at machine speed. 2. Stablecoins are going mainstream – Not just settlement mechanism, but real-world payments system. Visa, Circle and banking institutions building the bridge. 3. Tokenized capital markets – Nasdaq, Franklin Templeton, ICE talking about 24/7 markets. IMF cites $65B of tokenized assets already out there, but we are just at 0.02% of total markets. It’s not going to be crypto vs banks anymore. The future belongs to on-chain Wall Street. Are you attending this panel today? What’s your main alpha? #token2049 #FutureOfFinance #RWA

After spending two days at TOKEN2049, one thing stood out: This year, people were talking a lot less about “the next 100x” and a lot more about custody, settlement, compliance, and collateral. Institutions haven’t suddenly become believers in crypto. They’ve simply realized that cross-border stablecoin settlements, tokenized assets, and 24/7 trading can genuinely save time and cut costs. But when it comes to putting money in, their first questions aren’t about token prices—they’re about who holds the assets, how prices are determined, and who to turn to if something goes wrong. So this wave of “institutions moving on-chain” isn’t really about chasing a narrative. Whoever can bring accounts, custody, liquidity, and risk management together is the one most likely to capture the trading flow that follows. The venue was buzzing. The money was still cautious. #TOKEN2049 #Crypto

TOKEN2049 Highlights: Is the Future of Finance Multi-Rail? 🚀The conversations coming out of TOKEN2049 are setting the tone for where the entire crypto market is headed next. 🌍 One of the biggest takeaways is that we are rapidly moving toward a multi-rail financial system. Traditional finance (TradFi) and onchain infrastructure are no longer fighting each other — they are actually starting to coexist. Here is why this matters for every single investor: 1. Institutional Bridges Wall Street isn't replacing crypto, and crypto isn't killing traditional banks. Instead, liquidity is flowing through both systems via ETFs, RWAs (Real World Assets), and hybrid payment rails. 2. Onchain Efficiency Traditional assets are moving onchain for faster settlement and lower costs. This isn't just about trading tokens anymore; it's about upgrading the global financial back-end. 3. Massive Adoption Wave When traditional banks integrate onchain tools, millions of everyday users get exposed to crypto without even realizing it. The lines between crypto and traditional finance are blurring fast. Those who adapt to this shift early will stay ahead of the next major cycle. One of the biggest takeaways is that we are rapidly moving toward a multi-rail financial system. Traditional finance (TradFi) and onchain infrastructure are no longer fighting each other — they are actually starting to coexist.
Here is why this matters for every single investor:
1. Institutional Bridges
Wall Street isn't replacing crypto, and crypto isn't killing traditional banks. Instead, liquidity is flowing through both systems via ETFs, RWAs (Real World Assets), and hybrid payment rails.
2. Onchain Efficiency
Traditional assets are moving onchain for faster settlement and lower costs. This isn't just about trading tokens anymore; it's about upgrading the global financial back-end.
3. Massive Adoption Wave
When traditional banks integrate onchain tools, millions of everyday users get exposed to crypto without even realizing it.
The lines between crypto and traditional finance are blurring fast. Those who adapt to this shift early will stay ahead of the next major cycle.

Here's what happened this morning at TOKEN2049 when a conversation mapped out finance's next chapter. Traders keep getting squeezed by the gap between traditional markets and onchain worlds, missing entries or exiting too late because the two feel like they cannot mix. That split fuels FOMO and leaves positions exposed when one rail falters. The talk made clear we are heading into a multi-rail financial system. Traditional and onchain infrastructure will coexist and complement each other rather than battle like they did in earlier cycles. Past TOKEN2049 events leaned hard into full replacement, yet those competing visions ran into real limits after the 2022 drawdowns. $BNB is already stitching the rails together in practice while $ETH handles the onchain layer and $BTC serves as the value anchor both sides recognize. The 380.2k views this discussion pulled in so fast show people are watching the shift. What we learn is that ignoring either rail now costs more than it used to. Where do you think this coexistence leads compared to the old winner-takes-all bets? #TOKEN2049 #CryptoFinance #Web3

Before coming to TOKEN2049, I thought everyone would be talking about technology and the future of the industry. But once I got there, I realized the question people around me were asking most was: Is Polymarket actually going to launch a token? Will there be an airdrop? Is it still worth farming trading volume now? The official launch timing and specific rules haven’t been made clear, but the market has already whipped up expectations. There’s no sign of the rules yet, but people are already calculating how much they might get. I’m not going to chase the farming with my 500U. If they do launch a token, I’ll check the rules, valuation, and liquidity then. Missing out on a little is no big deal; rushing in and getting burned would be much worse. And a quick shout-out: the BNB Meet UP venue looks amazing~~ #TOKEN2049 #Polymarket

A public blockchain I see a lot of potential in: $SUI 💧 At this Singapore event, #TOKEN2049 , SUI had booked an entire floor to showcase projects across its ecosystem. Booking an entire floor isn’t the point. What matters is how well developed its ecosystem has become—it’s already part of everyday life, from food and drink to getting around. I experienced it firsthand. For food and drink, I used Slush, SUI’s official wallet, to scan a code on a vending machine and buy a drink. Second, I used an AI in the SUI ecosystem to create a perfume just for me. I chatted with the AI for over 20 minutes. The scent was exactly what I wanted, and the name on the bottle was customized too: Astra Luna. I even wore it this morning. My suitcase was damp from the humidity after arriving in Singapore, so I sprayed on my custom perfume—and it had a calming effect, too. That’s my experience of the food, drink, and fun. During the two-day conference, SUI kept announcing new developments. Here are the key points I’ve put together. First, my overall impression: the key themes at this Basecamp weren’t really about “blockchains.” They centered on three questions: How do AI agents pay? How do they leave an audit trail? And how can they be trusted? I. AI agent infrastructure: making agents “verifiable” 1) On October 6, Mysten Labs (an early contributor to Sui) and Google Cloud announced a partnership to launch VAA (Verifiable Agent Attestation). It’s an “evidence layer”: it can create independently verifiable records of what an enterprise AI agent is authorized to do, what it actually does, and what the results are. Detailed data such as prompts and model outputs stays in the customer’s own Google Cloud environment. Only cryptographic proofs are stored on Walrus, with Sui coordinating the process. It can also help businesses meet compliance requirements such as the EU AI Act. Development is currently underway, and no launch date has been announced. 2) On October 7, Walrus Console launched. Walrus is a decentralized data platform in the Sui ecosystem. You can sign in with a Google or Apple account, without having to manage your own wallet or tokens. Files and AI agent memories can be connected to various AI tools through APIs or MCP. They’re encrypted by default and independently verifiable. During the launch period, users get 5 GB of free storage. The fact that data isn’t locked into a single platform will only become more important in the age of AI. II. Stablecoins and payments: from “agents paying for themselves” to “payments in your phone wallet” 3) On October 7, Sui and Alibaba Cloud announced a partnership to integrate Alibaba Cloud services with Sui Agent Payments. You set a budget and permissions for an AI agent, and each time it uses a service, it pays with a stablecoin on Sui. The partnership was announced onstage by Mysten Labs co-founder Adeniyi Abiodun and Alibaba Cloud’s Leo Li. Work is still underway, and neither a launch date nor pricing has been announced. 4) On October 8, Sui was integrated into Samsung Wallet, with native support for USDC on Sui. The initial rollout will cover around 82 million Galaxy devices in the United States, with more markets to follow. Combined with gas-free transfers, users can send USDC without holding SUI or paying network fees. The focus is on everyday use cases such as cross-border remittances. 5) On the same day, Circle’s CCTP V2 launched on Sui. Native USDC can now be transferred between Sui and 29 other chains: it’s burned on the source chain and minted on Sui, without having to route through a third-party cross-chain bridge. III. Performance: where did 40.61 million TPS come from? 6) On the main stage on October 7, Sui announced a new record of 40,614,180 TPS, independently verified by CertiK. This figure was achieved using “Sui tunnels,” a concept similar to the Lightning Network: transactions are executed off-chain, then settled back to the Sui mainnet when a channel closes. Each channel can be independently verified on-chain. During the test, more than 10,000 channels were opened almost simultaneously, supporting use cases such as chat, gaming, and payments. More precisely, this is a “throughput record for transactions settled to Sui.” It does not mean that every transaction was individually processed on-chain at that TPS rate on the mainnet. Compared with the previous record of around 6.09 million TPS in July, it’s an increase of more than sixfold. IV. Ecosystem: Bitcoin finance and the energy at the event 7) Hashi’s mainnet is launching in stages this month. It lets BTC remain on the Bitcoin network while hBTC is minted on Sui to be used as collateral for applications such as lending. When redeemed, hBTC is burned and native BTC is released. According to the team, it has secured over $500 million in capital commitments. Anchorage Digital has joined as an initial launch partner, providing qualified custody and stablecoin liquidity. Security measures include MPC, multisignature technology, and a Guardian layer. 8) The liveliest event on site was the Hudi trading challenge: four traders went head-to-head live for 45 minutes, making for a highly entertaining show. V. A few of my thoughts The overall narrative is cohesive. VAA addresses “agents need to leave an audit trail when they act.” Alibaba Cloud + Agent Payments addresses “how agents pay.” Walrus addresses “where agent memories are stored.” Tunnels address “the throughput needed for massive numbers of interactions.” Abiodun’s point, in essence, was that Sui doesn’t need to process every interaction; it should be the trust layer for all interactions. Distribution is harder than technology. For ordinary users, an entry point like Samsung Wallet, already installed on tens of millions of phones, is much more tangible than any TPS figure. Stay level-headed. Many of these partnerships are still in progress. The real test is how much actual usage they see over the next few months. These are my personal experiences and notes, shared for discussion only. This is not investment advice. DYOR.

II. Stablecoins and payments: from “agents paying for themselves” to “payments in your phone wallet”

3) On October 7, Sui and Alibaba Cloud announced a partnership to integrate Alibaba Cloud services with Sui Agent Payments.

IV. Ecosystem: Bitcoin finance and the energy at the event

7) Hashi’s mainnet is launching in stages this month.

V. A few of my thoughts

The overall narrative is cohesive.

DYOR.

📰 The biggest change at this year’s TOKEN2049 in Singapore wasn’t that it was less crowded or lively—it was that there were fewer builders and more institutions, traders, KOLs, and capital providers. Some attendees estimated that the crowd was more than 50% smaller than in previous years, and the main venue increasingly felt like a traditional finance expo. 🔥 Around 90% of the conversations on day one revolved around RWA, tokenized stocks, and structured products. Stablecoins, payments, privacy, perps, and prediction markets were also frequent topics. People are starting to ask about real users, real revenue, real assets, and real liquidity. It’s getting harder to get by on storytelling alone. 💡 DeAI, however, was one of the few areas that still had a builder feel. On-chain inference, x402, and tokenized inference credit markets are still beyond most people’s understanding. It was at the AI sessions that discussions of robotics, DePIN, privacy-focused AI, and tokenomics heated up again. Surprisingly, almost no one at the event was talking about quantum computing, despite all the buzz online. 👀 AI could also transform exchanges: futures traders, options researchers, wealth management users, and newcomers may all see completely different interfaces, data, and tools in the future. Competition may gradually shift from having more coins and lower fees to understanding users better. 🤔 Honestly, if you’re just trading crypto or researching technology, this kind of conference may not be worth a special trip. The real value may still lie in small meetings arranged in advance. Which do you think will take off first: RWA, or DeAI producing a genuinely profitable product? #TOKEN2049 #DeAI #RWA #Web3

TOKEN2049 SINGAPORE JUST WRAPPED. HERE IS WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED. ✨👀 25,000 attendees. 160 countries. 500 exhibitors. 300 speakers. Sold out completely before it even started. FOR BEGINNERS TOKEN2049 is the biggest crypto industry conference of the year. FOR BEGINNERS

TOKEN2049 is the biggest crypto industry conference of the year. It is where CEOs, fund managers, developers and regulators all gather in one place to announce deals and set the direction for where crypto is heading next.

Who actually showed up:

→ Adena Friedman, CEO of Nasdaq

→ Jenny Johnson, CEO of Franklin Templeton

→ Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, founders of Gemini

→ Jeff Yan, CEO of Hyperliquid Labs

→ Lily Liu, Solana Foundation

→ Sandeep Nailwal, Polygon Foundation

→ Eric Trump also took the stage

A separate invite-only gathering called TOKEN2049 Institutional ran alongside the main event, bringing together 250 senior executives from Goldman Sachs, BlackRock and Morgan Stanley specifically to discuss digital assets behind closed doors.

The main themes on stage were institutional DeFi and on-chain market infrastructure — basically the systems big banks and funds will use to move real money through blockchains. Balaji Srinivasan opened with a keynote on "The Open Source Network State," followed by sessions like "DeFi's Institutional Breakthrough" and a deep dive into Hyperliquid's approach to rebuilding finance.

Here is the one thing worth keeping in mind with any conference like this — not every announcement is real. The ones that matter have a named dollar amount, a signed agreement and a clear deadline. A photo of two logos standing next to each other with no numbers attached means nothing yet.

Nasdaq and BlackRock executives sharing a stage with crypto founders used to be unthinkable. Now it is just another TOKEN2049.

📰 My most striking impression of TOKEN2049 this time wasn’t how many people were there, but how the two venues felt like two separate circles: around 80% of the crowd at the main venue were foreigners, while around 80% at the BNB Chain venue were Chinese. The former felt more like a business gathering for industry projects, while the latter was more like an in-person meetup for Chinese crypto enthusiasts. 🔥 The booths at the main venue were mostly taken up by exchanges and crypto payment projects. After talking with people, it became clear that two-way payments between fiat and crypto are already fairly mature. Compliant fiat on- and off-ramps overseas and localized payment options have basically become essential for projects expanding abroad. 💡 Another clear shift: projects looking to expand globally can’t rely on a single, one-size-fits-all strategy. Markets in Europe and the US, South America, and Africa differ considerably, so marketing and operations need to be more locally tailored. Honestly, the online and offline atmospheres are completely different. Online, people get swept up in market noise and negativity, and many feel there are no opportunities. Offline, people are looking for promising projects, exchanging resources, and seriously discussing partnerships. Ten online conversations may not be worth one in-person meeting. 👀 But renting a booth isn’t worthwhile for everyone. For a project just getting started, renting a booth at the main venue may not bring many conversions; projects in a high-growth phase or already well established are better suited to using it for brand exposure. Even without renting a booth, simply attending to meet partners and users can offer better value for money. 🤔 If you’re building a project today, do you think the budget should go toward online advertising or meeting people in person? #TOKEN2049 #加密支付 #出海项目 #Web3Industry

TOKEN2049 Singapore wrapped up today. The conversations over the past few days about industry development and real-world applications have also raised many topics worth continuing to reflect on. As a silver sponsor of the conference, #Envo met face-to-face in Singapore with industry partners from around the world. As someone who has been following Envo, what I found most meaningful was the opportunity for people to learn about the team—and for the team to hear different perspectives and needs. I’m interested in Envo because of its exploration of Web3 social experiences and real-world applications. How technology can become part of everyday life, and how communities can build more genuine connections, are both directions worth following over the long term. Thank you to the Envo team for all your hard work, and to everyone who joined us for a conversation. The conference may be over, but the conversations can continue. May the good ideas sparked by this meeting be heard in the future, and may our growing understanding of one another build trust and lead to more meaningful collaboration. #Envo #token2049
