Would you hand an AI agent your card and step away for a month?
Most people hesitate and the hesitation isn't about intelligence. Today you have two choices grant an agent full financial authority or approve every purchase yourself. The first exposes you to unbounded risk. The second removes the autonomy that made the agent valuable.
Kite's whitepaper argues the real constraint is infrastructure designed for humans not model capability.
The identity design is what stayed with me. Authority is split into three layers you at the root your agent with delegated power and a session key created for a single task that expires after use. The agent never touches your main key. The paper then quantifies the result. With a $100 daily cap over 30 days the worst case under full compromise is $3,000. That is a ceiling you chose in advance, not a hopeful estimate.
Payments are the second piece. A card charges $0.30 plus 2.9% so a one cent API call costs thirty times its own value. Kite uses state channels open once settle once with thousands of small signed payments in between. The paper targets roughly $0.000001 per message which is what makes pay per request viable for agents.
My view the architecture is compelling but its guarantees depend on implementation. The bounded loss proof assumes limits are enforced on the provider side and the cost and speed figures are design targets until real agent traffic tests them. On mainnet I'll be watching usage not announcements.
What would you let an agent pay for on its own and what cap would you set?

FLOCK just broke out hard on the 1H chart, with a strong volume spike behind the move. Price is sitting near the recent high, so I’d rather wait for a pullback into the entry zone than chase the candle.

The breakout has momentum, but after a move this fast, the entry matters. If price loses the zone, I’d skip the setup.
