🚨 A DeFi vault can hold real USDC — and still pay out against the wrong claims

Blockaid reports that a Tranche Vault linked to Fence Finance and Valinor Digital on Avalanche was exploited for approximately $1.01M
The suspected mechanism 👇

$AVAX

A flash loan was used to create inflated tranche-share claims, which were then redeemed for the vault's USDC
⚠️ The flash loan wasn't the vulnerability itself
The critical question is how the vault validated those claims before releasing real assets
A valid on-chain redemption doesn't guarantee the underlying accounting was correct

🔍 The exact contract-level failure still needs a full technical post-mortem
📌 If you have exposure to the affected vault, verify its current status and remaining reserves before depositing more capital
The risk isn't just what a vault holds — it's what its shares are allowed to claim

From $145 to $9: Is Avalanche Setting Up Its Comeback?$AVAX has real tech and a clear narrative, but it's a high-risk, high-beta bet. It's not a "safe add." Where it stands: AVAX is around $9.26 as of October 22, 2026, roughly 93.6% below its $145 peak in November 2021. That's a deep reset, which cuts both ways: low base, but the market has repeatedly chosen other chains. Features that feed the bull case (from my background knowledge, so verify before posting): Custom L1s (formerly subnets): projects launch their own chains with their own rules and fees, and they still connect to Avalanche. Sub-second finality and fast, cheap transactions. Institutional and RWA focus: tokenized funds, treasuries and private credit want compliant, customizable chains. Fee burn: part of network fees is burned, so more activity means tighter supply. Past network growth: back in October 2025, TVL had climbed to about $1.9B with transactions hitting new highs. Extreme bull case: it needs BTC to lead a strong risk-on cycle, then capital rotating into alt L1s, and RWA/tokenization becoming the dominant theme with Avalanche winning a big slice. Rough math: at around 425M circulating supply, $9 is a ~$4B market cap. $50 would be ~$21B, and a return to $145 would need ~$60B+. That's a 15x, and it's a "everything goes right" scenario, not a forecast. Why some people add it: high upside from a beaten-down base, a narrative tied to institutional adoption, and real development activity. Why you might not: A 94% drawdown shows how brutal drawdowns caln get, competition from Ethereum, its L2s and Solana is fierce, and AVAX usually follows BTC down harder than it follows up. BTC itself is range-bound right now. If you add it, most traders keep it a small slice, scale in rather than going all at once, and set a level where the thesis is wrong. I'm not a financial advisor, so this is the framework, not the call. {future}(AVAXUSDT) #Avalanche #altcoins

A vault on Avalanche was drained by a flash-loan attack, leaving its 1.013 million USDC balance at zero. AVAX is still about 8% below the MA20, so I’m not buying the dip. What I saw: Blockaid detected an attack on a Tranche Vault on Avalanche associated with Fence/Valinor. The attacker used an Aave V3 flash loan to mint artificially inflated shares and withdraw about 1.01335 million USDC, draining the vault to zero. AVAX is around 8.90 on Binance spot, with a 24-hour high of 9.09 and a low of 8.74. It is still about 8% below the MA20 of roughly 9.68. What I think: A small vault being drained shows how a flaw in structured share pricing can wipe it out overnight. An on-chain exploit doesn’t mean it’s time to buy the dip. What I’m doing: Not buying the dip. I’ll take another look if the daily price closes back above the MA20 at around 9.68. If it falls below the October 27 low of 8.66, I’ll consider this another breakdown. Would you buy the Avalanche ecosystem at 8.9—buy the dip or not? $AVAX $AAVE #Avalanche #DeFi

Another “tranche yield vault” has been drained in two flash-loan transactions. This time it was Tranche Vault on Avalanche, linked to Fence Finance and Valinor Digital. Blockaid puts the loss at around 1.01 million USDC. The method was nothing new: borrow through a flash loan, mint an inflated number of tranche shares, then use those shares to redeem the USDC left in the vault. Someone traced the transactions: one to mint shares at 23:56 UTC, another to cash out at 00:00 UTC—four minutes apart. According to Arkham, 1,013,353.61 USDC went into the attacker’s wallet. The Defiant says it checked the contract balance and not a single USDC was left. What I really want to call out is the word “tranche.” The pitch is that you get senior and junior tranches, with risk neatly separated, so the conservative investors can stick with the safe one. But if a single flash loan can skew the share price, what exactly is being separated? If the underlying pricing isn’t protected against same-block manipulation, the so-called senior tranche is just the first one to get emptied. And then there’s the response. By midday, plenty of accounts were still posting that there was “no statement from the team, no recovery plan.” When it’s time to deposit, they shout about APY louder than anyone. When something goes wrong, their Twitter goes quieter than anyone’s. An on-chain sleuth also posted a long thread claiming they traced the funds from a KuCoin deposit, through a dry run, to the actual attack, and finally across to Solana via CCTP. That’s their own “verified” label; I can’t independently confirm it, so treat it as a lead. Before depositing U into one of these small vaults for yield, ask yourself: who calculates the share price, and can one transaction skew it? If they can’t answer, that APY was meant for someone else all along. #DeFi安全 #Avalanche

About $1.01 million was withdrawn in roughly two transactions—that’s the preliminary scale of the October 28 attack on the Tranche Vault on Avalanche. According to the data, Blockaid detected an ongoing attack targeting the vault on October 28. The attacker first used flash loans to mint overvalued tranche shares, then redeemed the remaining USDC in the vault. Based on the monitoring information, the attack was still underway at the time of reporting, with losses of about $1.01 million. The vault involved is associated with Valinor Digital. Notably, the key to this type of attack is not the amount in any single transaction, but the share-pricing mechanism. Flash loans themselves are not the vulnerability; the overvalued tranche shares are. Once share prices are manipulated in the short term, redemption effectively allows the attacker to withdraw the vault’s remaining assets against inflated share values. The fact that this could be completed in just two transactions shows how short the attack path is—and how little time the vault operator has to respond. As for price context, AVAX was trading at around $8.95 on the morning of October 28, essentially flat for the day (CoinMarketCap snapshot at 9:30 KST, up about 0.02%). The vault incident did not leave a noticeable dent in AVAX’s price that day. For now, the risk is concentrated in the vault and related tranche products, rather than in the pricing of the entire chain. Assessment: There is only one number worth watching next—whether the final confirmed loss remains around $1.01 million or continues to grow as the attack goes on. Until the final figure is available, there is not enough evidence to interpret this incident as a systemic risk to the Avalanche ecosystem. #Avalanche #DeFi安全 $AVAX Personal opinion only; not investment advice

When a vault has an incident, first check whether it’s the familiar “flash loan + pricing/permissions” playbook all over again. According to reports relayed by PANews, good.box, and others, Blockaid monitoring showed that a Tranche Vault on Avalanche was attacked, with the attacker using flash loans to steal around $1.01 million in funds. How to interpret this: It’s a security incident involving a specific protocol’s pool—not evidence that the entire Avalanche network has failed, nor that all tranche or structured products face the same risks. Keep an eye on the stolen funds’ addresses, whether the protocol pauses deposits and withdrawals, and what compensation plan it offers. Also check whether similar pools have the same kinds of oracle or permission-design vulnerabilities. For everyday users, the practical steps are to check audits and multisig controls before depositing into a yield pool, limit exposure to any single pool, and not focus only on the APY. #Avalanche #TrancheVault #安全事件 #DeFi

The Tranche Vault on Avalanche was hacked, with approximately $1.01 million stolen. The attacker used flash loans to mint fake tranche shares, then redeemed USDC directly from the vault. A breakout above $10 could signal a momentum shift toward $11.70, but confirmation is essential.

⚠️ Bears remain in control until buyers reclaim resistance. Watch the breakout, not the hype.

$AVAX {spot}(AVAXUSDT) Last time we bought AVAX, it gave us a 63% profit. Now it’s ongoing a correction. I have put Fibonacci tool on it and drawn two boxes for you. Currently, it’s inside the yellow box. This box is a strong support box. As long as it holds, we can expect a good pump on AVAX from it. However, if this box fails to hold then a deeper correction is waiting for AVAX. This correction will take AVAX to the white box which is another support. My advice will be buy some little here and dca at the white box. Let's see what comes next. #AVAX #Avalanche

Listen up, soldiers... come over here for a second and get comfortable in front of the monitor. I've been monitoring the structure of $AVAX for a while, and honestly, the chart is giving us a crystal-clear read on liquidity after an impeccable defense of the key support at $8.675 USDT. The market is moving slowly right now, but don't let the calm fool you: Smart Money is quietly accumulating, and we've already seen a very clean bullish change of character on the tactical timeframes. We're not rushing in to buy at the top. We're staying in the trenches, patiently waiting for the price to pull back into our demand zone at $8.850–$8.960. I've placed my Stop Loss firmly at $8.550, protected below the latest wick sweep and out of reach of manipulation. If the structure changes and our stop gets hit, we accept our controlled 1% risk with discipline and move on. When momentum kicks in and we're in profit, we'll take profits with a cool head: When we hit $9.250 (TP1), we secure the first 50% straight into our pockets and immediately move the Stop Loss to our entry price. Trade locked in at zero risk! At $9.600 (TP2), we close another 30%, taking advantage of the retest of the price inefficiency. And we'll let the final 20% run, calmly aiming for $10.100 (TP3). No rush and no watching the clock; let the chart take as long as it wants to reach the target. Who's staying in the ambush with the team, waiting for the move? I'll be reading your comments below, troops! 👇🎯🔥 #AVAX #Avalanche #Manumax_Sniper

$AVAX keeps grinding along the bottom of its range and I don't love how quiet it is. Price is around 8.81, the 24h low tagged 8.67, and it's been sliding lower since that bounce near 10.2 about a week ago. On the NanoTrading Fire chart 4h the heatmap shows a thick liquidity band right around 9.00 stretching across most of the chart, so every bounce into 9 has been getting sold. Above that, the next real pocket is the bright block near 10.00. Below price there isn't much on the map until the lows, which is what bugs me. Binance futures look like dip buyers are still positioned for a bounce that isn't coming yet. Open interest bled from about $89.5M to $86.4M over the last day, funding is basically flat, and roughly 60% of accounts are long while top traders sit around 69% long (L/S 2.24). Crowded longs plus falling OI near range lows usually means one more flush first. My read: as long as $AVAX stays under 9.00 I'm leaning bearish and watching for a wick below 8.67. A clean 4h reclaim of 9.00 would flip me and put 10.00 back in play. Do you think 9 flips to support this week or do we see 8.5 first?
