​In the Beginning, All is darkness. From the abyssal void of light, a minute, unborn pregnancy bideth motionless and mute, uttering no sound whatsoever; yet suddenly, it vibrateth! And in vibrating, giveth birth unto Music and Desire.
​Therein, from the very heart of non-existence, appeareth the fickle inclination of love. Will is Eros, Eros is desire, and Music its instrument.
​Then, Nothingness ceaseth to be Nothingness and becometh All. Nothingness and All are the illustrious twins, contemplating each other, and now they are One. Darkness is dusky potency; whereas All is a flaming, translucent, and sovereign power.
​For a moment, Silence stilleth those who already exist; later, it manageth to break free from the wavering darkness at the pleasure of nervous sonority, a loving symphony. Suddenly, a mysterious being speaketh amid the planetary lattices:
​—“Oh, gifts of profound love, present of strange passion!” exclaimeth the regal figure. “I understand thee not, yet I love thee. Continue in that eternal dance, wondrous hummingbird of space, and keep gracefully fluttering the iridescent sheen of thy wings until thou becomest tangible to my desire. Thou hast shed tears of ineffable fire; wherefore, thou offerest without cease the quintessence of thy winged affection. Unharmed, minute knot, spark of flame, flowering gem… Thou art sparkling passion, consuming fire. Thou movest serpent-like, O erratic-coursing deity! Cool thyself! For otherwise, I shall execute that which in my mind I have already wrought.”

Greetings to the entire Binance Square community. I am David Gilberto Iriarte, writer, philosopher, and creator under the pseudonym Escultor de Letras.
For years I have sculpted stories, verses, and worlds from the heart of the Andes (San Cristóbal, Venezuela), exploring epic fantasy, poetry, and profound narrative. For me, writing is an act of survival and of connection with the eternal.
​Why an act of survival?
The answer is that survival, in my case, was not only physical, but also the survival of my works. The harsh hardships that have taken place in Venezuela over the years have forced me, at many moments, to fall into that draining dynamic of "living to eat," where time and energy are consumed by the day-to-day.

The State is a gigantic parasite in the countries that have been dismissively called Third World. However, with alarming concern, I observe a brutal shift among the traditional powers, which seem to want their citizens to taste the poison that, for decades, the statist models have handed out to us in Latin America.
To date, decisions like the one to involve the Pentagon in the equation of the Venezuelan oil business—avoiding the lanes of legal certainty and the free market in order to take state shortcuts—show a dangerous contradiction. Serious investment and real development flee arbitrariness and political intervention.
