On September 15, the U.S. Senate failed to advance the CLARITY Act in a procedural vote. It needed 60 votes to move forward — it fell short. So the bill did not advance.

this particular legislative effort was unable to clear the Senate's procedural hurdle.

The CLARITY Act was designed to establish a broader framework for digital-asset regulation, including clearer roles for U.S. regulators. With the bill stalled, attention shifts back to the existing regulatory framework and possible action through regulators and future legislation.
