💬 Telegram’s Money Wallet Is Expanding—but GRAM Is Not Telegram Equity
Telegram’s Money wallet rollout is widening access to GRAM transfers, gifts, and collectible usernames, giving the TON native token a larger consumer distribution channel.
LIVE / CONFIRMED: Money is rolling out beyond selected users to Telegram’s audience of more than 1 billion people. The non-custodial wallet supports GRAM storage and transfers, as well as purchases of Telegram gifts and collectible usernames.
But here’s the distinction: GRAM is the native asset of The Open Network (TON), not a share in Telegram. Telegram’s public notice says GRAM provides no equity, dividend, governance, or ownership rights in Telegram.
There’s one detail worth watching: adoption versus usage. A broader wallet rollout can increase access, but it does not guarantee sustained GRAM demand. Real traction depends on how many users actually send, hold, or spend GRAM after onboarding.
The takeaway: Telegram is expanding GRAM’s consumer rails, while GRAM’s investment case remains tied to TON usage—not ownership of Telegram.
