Polkadot just dumped 10.8% in a strong uptrend — and that's actually the most interesting setup on my screen today. 🎯
Here's why this pullback matters:
DOT is at $1.122 after a massive run-up. The daily chart is still firmly bullish — price is well above the 25-SMA ($0.911) and 99-SMA ($0.874). The 7-SMA daily ($1.050) is right below us, acting as potential support.
But on the 4H, the picture flipped bearish. Price dropped below the 7-SMA ($1.151) and the MACD histogram, while still positive (+0.0105), is losing momentum. RSI at 58 on the 4H is neutral — not oversold, not overbought. This is a coin at a decision point.
Volume is at 1.26x average and increasing — which on a pullback means either aggressive profit-taking or the start of a reversal. The long/short ratio at 2.50 is extremely long, and that kind of crowded positioning usually gets punished before the trend resumes.
🎯 Trade Plan (SHORT — counter-trend pullback):
• Entry: $1.097 – $1.147
• Stop Loss: $1.223 (above the 4H 7-SMA — if it reclaims that, the pullback is over)
• Take Profit: $1.064 → $1.031 → $0.987
This is a higher-risk counter-trend trade. The big trend is up, but short-term positioning is too crowded and needs to flush.
