RUNE Surges 19% Off the $0.494 Low and Reclaims the 4H MA(99)
THORChain (RUNE) is trading at $0.652, up 19.41% on the day, and it’s one of the top gainers on my screen. The 4-hour chart shows a sharp V-shaped recovery that has pushed price back above all three moving averages.
What the numbers say
24h High: $0.665
24h Low: $0.537
24h Volume: 13.15M RUNE (about $8.04M)
What I’m seeing on the 4H chart
After peaking near $0.733, RUNE rolled over and sold off hard, printing a run of heavy red candles all the way down to a swing low of $0.494. Buyers stepped in at that level, and since then price has climbed steadily, building higher lows before a strong green candle launched it through the $0.60 area. It tagged $0.665 before a small pullback, and the latest candle is green again, holding near $0.652.
The moving averages are confirming the shift. The MA(7) at 0.600 has turned sharply upward, and the MA(25) at 0.607 is flattening out. Price has reclaimed the MA(99) at 0.632, which had been acting as overhead resistance and is now the key level to defend. The MA(7) and MA(25) are still sitting below the MA(99), so the trend change isn’t fully confirmed yet, but the direction is clearly improving.
Volume picked up noticeably on the breakout candle, well above the recent average. That adds credibility to the move compared to a thin, low-volume bounce. The most recent candles show volume cooling, so after a 19% day, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a retest before any continuation.
Key levels I’m watching
Support: $0.632 (MA 99), then $0.607 (MA 25) and $0.600 (MA 7)
Resistance: $0.665, then $0.692 and $0.733
A hold above $0.632 on any pullback would keep the breakout structure intact, and a clean 4H close above $0.665 would open the door toward $0.69. Slipping back below the MA(99) would suggest this was a fast spike that is fading, with $0.60 as the next downside area. Momentum favors the bulls for now, but after a move this big, patience matters more than chasing.
