🔹 What does Pyth do?

Pyth focuses on real-time market data for:

Stocks & indices

The special part:

It uses first-party data directly from exchanges and trading firms, not just middle sources.

Why that matters for DeFi:
Faster updates
Prices closer to real trading activity
Very useful for perp DEXes, options and other trading protocols

Pyth also uses a “pull” model, where protocols can request fresh prices when needed, helping keep things fast and gas-efficient across many chains.

In simple words:
Pyth is an oracle designed for high-speed trading environments on-chain.

Right now I’m studying how Pyth fits into the perp/derivatives narrative, not treating it as a blind signal.
