$LAPTOP is launching on Base today. Hunter Biden's meme coin, named after the 2019 laptop saga that's followed him since 2020.

The whole thing is pure political meme coin energy: 1B supply, a big founder allocation with lockups, airdrops to people who lost money on $TRUMP , and a weird burn-or-charity mechanism tied to future events.

Political meme coins don't have a great history. $TRUMP and $MELANIA both spiked on launch then bled out hard, and most people who bought after the initial pump ended up underwater.

Is $LAPTOP going to cook… or are buyers about to get cooked again?

Personally, I’m staying cautious. Political meme coins can attract insane attention early, but that attention can disappear just as quickly.

Heck! $VVV just crossed $24!

Most people thought it would eventually dump hard like $RIVER did.

Instead, it has continued pushing higher since its corrective phase.

$RIVER got wrecked by unlocks and weak fundamentals.

$VVV , on the other hand, has kept grinding higher, possibly helped by ongoing catalysts like the Lumara Film Festival with MoonPay.

Submissions close in mid-September, with the live events taking place in NYC in October. Hype is still building into the event.

I’d expect the strength to continue into the event. After October is when I’d expect the momentum to potentially start cooling off.

Nothing in crypto is guaranteed, though. This is just my personal outlook.

Meme coins went absolutely wild last week.

Here are some of the biggest runners:

$PON → 9×
$BULLA → 5.29×
$USELESS → 5.17×
$MARSCOIN → 4.53×

Meanwhile, quietly gaining attention on Robinhood Chain is $LEGS.

It’s still very early, currently sitting at a market cap of roughly $325K with only about $53K in liquidity.

Outside of the DEX on Robinhood Chain, the only CEX it’s available on is Gate.

I’m just watching it for now. It feels like one of those quiet Robinhood runners that hasn’t fully woken up yet.

My main catalyst to actually size in would be more CEX listings. Until then, I’m keeping it on the radar.
