【T 1H】Up 70%, then gave back half; shorts are piling on even harder
T (Threshold) shot up from 0.00464 to 0.00791 on a single candle at 8 a.m., and has now fallen back to 0.00562 (Binance, 23:33). Most people think the big players have already left, but the perpetual futures funding rate is -0.45%, the second-lowest across the market, meaning shorts are paying longs.
No clear news catalyst has been identified so far. TokenPost only reported that it “rose more than 60% in one hour.”
Three pieces of evidence:
① Structure: After the spike, price shifted into a range. It has just slipped below 0.0058 (Fib 0.618), with the MA25 pressing down at 0.00574.
② Volume and price: Turnover over the last 10 candles is still 2.39 times the previous average, suggesting that the money hasn’t fully left.
③ Confluence: Fib 0.786 overlaps the 0.00516–0.00523 zone, with the MA99 further below at 0.00502.
Plan 1 (primary): Consider placing a small long order on a retest near 0.00525, with a stop-loss at 0.00495, target 1 at 0.0058, and target 2 at 0.0062.
Plan 2 (backup): If price breaks below 0.00495, stand aside for now and wait to reassess near the lows around 0.0046. Stop-loss at 0.0043, target at 0.00525.
My view: Negative funding and high turnover suggest there’s still fuel for a short squeeze, but this is a small-cap coin, so moves of 20% in either direction can happen at any time.
Invalidation: If the 1H candle closes below 0.00495, that would mean the morning’s rally was a distribution move. Admit the mistake and exit.
Funding rate at -0.45%—would you dare to short here?
