BNB Chain Just Got a Major Upgrade 🔧⚡
While $BTC grabbed the macro headlines this week,
$BNB Chain quietly shipped one of its biggest infrastructure updates of the year. The Pasteur hard fork went live on BSC mainnet on Aug 25, and it's all about making the chain faster and safer without touching gas costs:
• BEP-682 — tighter bridge verification
• BEP-695 — secure retirement of old validator keys
• BEP-675 — fuller blocks (testnet throughput jumped from 1,237 to 2,324 TPS)
It's part of a bigger H2 2026 push to double mainnet throughput again, after H1 already cut block times to 450ms and finality to 650ms — with a stated long-term goal of 10x capacity across the chain.
$BNB has been trading near its best levels in months, in the high-$600s to $700 range, as the broader market rally lifts sentiment across the board.
Infrastructure upgrades don't always make headlines, but they're what let a chain actually scale. 👀
