A verified date for the watchlist: Binance says ASTER's collateral ratio will rise from 50% to 60% starting 16 October at 06:00 UTC / 10:00 Dubai, with implementation expected to take about 30 minutes. The announcement covers Cross Margin, Portfolio Margin and Portfolio Margin Pro; ETC is also included.

Why it matters: more of an eligible ASTER holding's value can count as collateral under the applicable rules. That may improve its usefulness to existing margin users. It is NOT a token buyback, a supply reduction or proof that fresh spot demand will follow. For Cross Margin, Binance says the change affects borrowing and transfer-out capacity.

The market has not supplied a bullish confirmation: ASTER/USDT traded at 0.6927 USDT, down 2.18% over the rolling 24h window, versus BTC down 0.25%. ASTER's Binance spot turnover was 10.76M USDT. Turnover measures trading activity, not net inflows. Binance confirms the pair is open for spot trading.
