Most people lose because they don’t know whether the structure is actually broken.
BTC’s 4H chart today is a textbook example.
Starting from $79,369, it kept printing higher lows, one after another. Last night, it broke above $81,300 to form a new higher high — that’s a BOS (Break of Structure), confirming a trend-continuation signal.
A lot of people saw the price consolidating around $80,900 and started panicking: “Is it about to drop?”
No. Don’t watch the price — watch the structure.
BOS is the trend’s “heartbeat”:
- If each pullback holds above the previous low → the big players haven’t given up
- Once price breaks below the previous low and forms a lower low → that’s a CHoCH (Change of Character): the trend shifts, and the structure changes
BTC’s current sequence: HH ($81,300) → now confirming a new HL
CHoCH alert level: You only need to be cautious if it breaks below $80,444 (the most recent HL support)
Actionable takeaway:
Before the structure changes, a pullback into the HL support zone ($80,400–$80,600) is an opportunity for bulls, not a time to run. Wait for a CHoCH before changing your position — don’t try to guess the top based on a feeling.
I’ve seen too many people sell at a loss after a BOS, then watch helplessly as the price keeps rising.
The trend won’t explain itself to you. Only the structure will.
