Two and a half years post-halving, and the story isn't just "number go up" anymore.

One thing I'll say: the volatility isn't gone, it's compressed. People panicking over a 6% weekly swing weren't here in '21. And honestly? That's the healthiest signal we've had in years. Boring is maturing.

NFP Beat Meets Crucial CPI: Will the Fed Hike or Hold? 📊
With the recent Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) significantly beating expectations, the market is on edge as we approach the highly anticipated CPI release. The labor market's surprising resilience definitely complicates the Federal Reserve's next move.
Will they hike or hold? Personally, I believe the Fed is likely to hold the current interest rate, but they will accompany it with a fiercely hawkish tone. A strong NFP gives them the runway to keep rates elevated, but they will want to see if the upcoming CPI data confirms that inflation is still sticky before pulling the trigger on another hike. If CPI comes in hotter than expected, however, a surprise hike isn't off the table.
Because of this macroeconomic uncertainty, my current stance is cautiously bullish on Gold. It remains a reliable safe-haven asset while we navigate these turbulent data drops. Conversely, I am short-term bearish on high-risk equities, as a hot CPI print could trigger a swift market sell-off as hike fears get priced back in.
I am using this opportunity to hedge my portfolio heavily.
