TPS = Transactions Per Second.

It measures how many transactions a blockchain can theoretically process within one second.

So when you hear:

“SEI is targeting ~200K TPS.”

That tells us something about the network's potential technical capacity.

But here's where the research gets interesting. 👇

⚠️ TPS Does NOT Automatically Mean Adoption

200K TPS ≠ 200K users

200K TPS ≠ deep liquidity

200K TPS ≠ high trading volume

200K TPS ≠ high network revenue

A blockchain can have extremely high technical capacity and still have relatively low economic activity.

That's why I don't look at TPS alone.

I look at the full chain:

Technology → Applications → Liquidity → Users → Volume → Fees → Economic Value

If the first part grows but the rest doesn't, the technology may be impressive—but the adoption thesis remains unproven.

So instead of asking:
