Gold futures prices rose during U.S. trading on Wednesday.
On COMEX, a division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold futures for December delivery are trading at $4,313.30 per troy ounce, up 3.87% at the time of writing.
The session high was $100.00 per troy ounce. At the time of writing, gold found support at $4,074.00 and resistance at $4,327.76.
The USD index futures, which measure the greenback's performance against a basket of six major currencies, fell 0.16% to $99.58.
Other commodities traded on the COMEX, silver futures for September delivery rose 3.39% to $62.29 per troy ounce, while copper futures for September delivery rose 1.55% to $6.75 per pound.

SpaceX presented its second-quarter results, noting a significant increase in revenue and a significant reduction in operating losses in its first report since going public. The main source of growth was the strengthening of Starlink and artificial intelligence.
For the three months ended June 30, the company reported revenue of $7.8 billion, compared to $4.1 billion a year earlier. Operating losses narrowed to $143 million from $970 million, with Starlink revenue up about 79%.
However, average revenue per subscriber fell about 22% year-over-year, driven by expanding into new international markets and introducing more affordable plans.
SpaceX shares fell about 4% in after-hours trading after the results, after rising about 9.4% in regular trading before the financial results were released.
Second-quarter revenue topped analysts’ expectations by $6.93 billion, according to LSEG. Net loss for the three months ended June 30 was $541 million, attributable to shareholders.
The company also indicated that it has spent about $18.37 billion on artificial intelligence infrastructure, Starship development, and Starlink expansion.
