Binance has just announced Binance Junior, a crypto savings app/account for children & teens aged 6–17.
This is a parent-controlled sub-account, meaning parents retain the right to manage, decide to deposit/withdraw money, and control all activities.
The goal: to help families create a savings fund, introduce children/teens to the concept of cryptocurrency & crypto financial education early.
✅ How it works & features
Parents (with KYC + 2FA enabled main account) can open up to 5 Junior accounts for their children.
Children can save/hold crypto — via a savings-like profit/interest feature (e.g. Binance's “Flexible Simple Earn”) but are not allowed to trade or withdraw outside.
If the child is 13 years old or older (or according to local regulations), they can make daily limited transfers themselves, but only to the parent account or other Junior accounts, not to adults or outsiders.
Every transaction from the Junior account is notified to the parent and the parent can disable or temporarily lock the child account at any time.
Along with the app, Binance also released a book for children: “ABC’s of Crypto” which explains the concepts of blockchain, crypto, security, coins... in an easy-to-understand way, like teaching children “from A to Z”.
🔎 This may be the first step for “new generation finance” but also makes many people wonder: Is it right to encourage children to approach crypto early? The risks and fluctuations of crypto are still high, so if using Binance Junior, parents should consider very carefully that it should only be considered as a long-term savings fund, not a trading tool.
Early in the morning I excitedly woke up, opened my phone and saw: “The market today is as red as my ex-lover's love…🥰
Tell me the truth: Are you fishing the bottom, cutting your losses, or cutting… contacting the person who introduced you to crypto?” #BTC86kJPShock #BTC #BinanceSquareFamily
