Tôi cứ quay lại một phần trong kiến trúc của Newton mà hiếm khi được chú ý nhiều như VaultKit hay lớp chính sách (policy layer): đó là Model Registry.
Bề ngoài, ý tưởng khá đơn giản. Các nhà phát triển công bố các mô hình tác nhân AI (AI agent) trên chuỗi (onchain), các nhà điều hành đặt cược $NEWT để chạy chúng, và mỗi lần một mô hình được sử dụng, phí sẽ được chia sẻ giữa người tạo và nhà điều hành. Nếu một nhà điều hành không vượt qua thẩm định (validation) hoặc hành động gây hại (maliciously), tài sản thế chấp của họ có thể bị phạt (slashed). Hệ thống này được thiết kế như một thị trường nơi các nhà phát triển đóng góp trí tuệ, các nhà điều hành cung cấp việc thực thi đáng tin cậy, và $NEWT kết nối các động lực (incentives).

Dạo gần đây, tôi đã tìm hiểu thêm các dự án crypto tập trung vào AI, nhưng sau khi xem quá nhiều dự án như vậy, chúng thường bắt đầu cảm giác lặp lại. Gần như mọi đợt ra mắt đều hứa hẹn sẽ định nghĩa lại tương lai của blockchain, nhưng chỉ có một vài dự án giải thích rõ họ sẽ giải quyết các thách thức trong thế giới thực như thế nào. Đó là một trong những lý do @NewtonProtocol gây ấn tượng với tôi. Điều đầu tiên thu hút tôi chính là việc Newton Protocol không chỉ đơn thuần sử dụng AI như một “chiêu” marketing. Theo những gì tôi đọc được, dự án đang phát triển một rollup an toàn hỗ trợ tự động hóa dựa trên AI, thực thi chiến lược và một marketplace nơi các nhà phát triển có thể xây dựng các tác nhân AI chuyên biệt cho hoạt động trên blockchain. Cách tiếp cận này thực tế hơn nhiều so với các dự án chỉ thêm “AI” vào thương hiệu mà không mang lại tiện ích thực sự.

I learned an expensive lesson after chasing a "security infrastructure" token that looked flawless on paper. Holder numbers were climbing, transaction counts were surging, and locked liquidity was constantly highlighted as proof of legitimacy. Everything suggested healthy adoption. Then the incentive campaign ended, activity vanished within weeks, and it became obvious that most wallets had been farming rewards rather than using the protocol. Since then, I've become far more interested in sustainable usage than temporary growth driven by incentives.
That experience is why Newton Protocol caught my attention. It focuses on a problem many blockchain systems still struggle with: smart contracts execute immediately, leaving little room to stop malicious activity before it happens. Most security tools react after a transaction has already been confirmed. Newton changes that model by introducing a policy verification layer before execution. Transactions are evaluated against rules written in Rego, and decentralized operators validate those policies inside Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs), producing cryptographic proofs that anyone can verify through the Newton Explorer. The result is a system designed to rely on verifiable evidence rather than trust alone.
The important question, however, is whether this infrastructure continues to matter once incentives disappear. Security and compliance layers create extra work for developers, so long-term adoption depends on whether builders continue using them because they provide real value—not because grants or reward programs encourage integration. Announced partnerships and wallet counts can create an impressive narrative, but they reveal very little about ongoing usage. The stronger indicator is a steady flow of verifiable policy checks generated by applications over time.
Market statistics tell only part of the story. Trading volume, market capitalization, circulating supply, and holder counts can all reflect speculation as much as genuine adoption. Thousands of addresses may exist, yet many could simply be inactive wallets created during airdrops or promotional campaigns. Retention and repeated protocol usage ultimately provide a much clearer picture than headline metrics.
The risks are also worth acknowledging. Future token unlocks may introduce additional selling pressure, especially while the circulating supply remains relatively low. Limited liquidity can amplify price volatility, and the authorization infrastructure space is becoming increasingly competitive. Although TEEs and restaking provide an innovative security model, they still depend on assumptions that have yet to be tested across multiple market cycles.
The metrics I watch are deliberately less exciting: recurring policy evaluations, fees generated from real authorization requests, and consistent activity from integrated applications even during periods without major marketing campaigns. If those indicators continue to grow steadily without external incentives, they suggest authentic product-market fit rather than temporary attention.
For that reason, I view $NEWT as a long-term observation rather than a high-conviction trade. The concept of pre-execution authorization addresses a genuine infrastructure challenge, but lasting value will depend on whether developers continue relying on the network long after promotional incentives fade.
