Solana has activated Transaction V1 on mainnet.
The upgrade increases the maximum transaction size from 1,232 bytes to 4,096 bytes—about 3.3 times more space for a single transaction. It went live at the start of mainnet epoch 1,035 on September 15.
Why it matters:
Developers can fit more complex operations into one atomic transaction.
The larger format supports use cases such as zero-knowledge proofs, larger multisignature setups, and batched DeFi actions.
Existing legacy and v0 transactions still work. Apps only need to upgrade if they want to use the new V1 capacity.
This is a protocol improvement, not a price signal. The practical metric to watch is adoption: whether wallets, apps, and developers begin using V1 for new products and more complex on-chain workflows. #solana #blockchain #defi
