The Fed is now priced to HIKE in September. Bitcoin is still up 22% this month.

At Jackson Hole Friday, Fed Chair Kevin Warsh said the Fed will "have work to do" unless inflation moves to target "clearly and at sufficient speed." CME September hike odds jumped from 35% to 59% in one session (Benzinga, MishTalk). The 2-year yield hit 4.32%, a one-month high.

A hike is the textbook worst case for risk assets. BTC's answer: a wick to $76,888, then straight back to ~$78K. This leg was never a liquidity trade - it was bought on the CLARITY Act push and ETF demand.

Sept 15-16 FOMC is the binary. Until then every inflation print is a repricing event. The level traders watch on $BTC is the $81.5K rejection high - $ETH and $SOL carry the beta both ways.

Does a hike break this rally, or has crypto decoupled from the Fed?
