Ulta beats expectations and raises outlook, but shares still fall after hours
💄 Ulta Beauty reported Q2 revenue of $3.04 billion, up 8.9% year over year, while diluted EPS reached $6.55. Both figures came in above Wall Street expectations.
📈 The company also raised its FY2026 outlook, now expecting revenue growth of 6.7–7.2%, comparable sales growth of 3.2–3.7%, and EPS of $28.70–$29.00. Its full-year share repurchase plan was increased from $1.5 billion to $1.8 billion.
⚠️ However, comparable sales grew just 3.8%, down from 6.7% a year earlier. Ulta also expects second-half comps to rise only 2–3%, signaling that underlying growth could continue to moderate.
📉 ULTA shares fell about 3.2–3.4% after hours to around $522, as investors focused more on slowing growth and the relatively modest guidance increase.
