The 5 phases of trading in a single day 🎢🤡

My daily mental health can be summarized in the 10 minutes after opening a futures position on Binance:

Minute 1 (Optimism): "I analyzed the market. I went Long. This is the trade that will pay for my Bali vacations. I can almost smell the beach". 🏖️

Minute 3 (Light panic): "Well, it dropped 0.5%. No big deal, it’s just market noise. A small healthy correction". 🧐

Minute 5 (Desperation): "It dropped 4%. Who’s selling? Stop selling! Please, Elon Musk, post a tweet about anything right now". 😭

Minute 8 (Spiritual acceptance): "The price is a penny away from my liquidation price. Either way, money is a social construct created by central banks. True wealth is in knowledge". 🧘‍♂️

Minute 10 (The miracle): "It went up 12%! I’m an misunderstood genius! The Bali beach awaits!". I close the position with a total profit of 2 dollars after paying the fees.

An Expensive Lesson from Today's Futures Market 🩸

Being good at reading the trend is useless if you don't have emotional brakes. That realization only hits when your balance is on life support in the double digits, aka under $100 💀.
