Lisk's Real Migration Deadline Isn't October 31 — It's October 21
Lisk announced its chain shuts down on October 31, 2026, and most LSK holders have that date marked as their deadline. It's not accurate — and missing the real one could cost you your tokens.

Here's the catch: if your LSK is staked directly on the Lisk Chain, unstaking takes 3 days, and bridging it over to Ethereum takes another 7 days. That's a 10-day process minimum. Work backward from October 31, and your actual cutoff to start the process is October 21.

Anything still sitting on the Lisk Chain after October 31 becomes permanently unreachable — there's no recovery window after that.
If your LSK is already on Ethereum or held on an exchange, none of this applies to you — no action needed.

For context on where things stand: roughly 282M LSK (70.59% of supply) is currently unlocked, with about 117.65M still locked. Unstaking fees are still in effect and will only be removed once the official resolution is passed and the staking contract is updated.
Bottom line: if you're staking LSK directly on-chain, don't wait for October 31 — start your unstake-and-bridge process by October 21 at the latest.
