Amazon is in a position to launch an Internet rival, Starlink, after hitting milestone 396: the creation of satellites. 🚀
Amazon is getting closer to the commercial launch of its satellite broadband network, recently renamed Amazon Leo (formerly Project Kuiper).
With 396 satellites in low Earth orbit successfully deployed, the company has put in place the minimum infrastructure needed to begin beta services by the end of this year.
The tech giant has committed more than $10 billion to the program, which aims to expand the fleet to exceed 3,200 satellites by 2029.
