A test carried out by WiSeSat and SEALCOIN showed that satellite-connected devices can exchange information and perform microtransactions using the Hedera network.
Although transaction validation is still being carried out on Earth, this progress demonstrates that Hedera technology can be integrated with satellite infrastructure to connect devices in remote areas and, potentially, future space applications.

Amazon is in a position to launch an Internet rival, Starlink, after hitting milestone 396: the creation of satellites. 🚀

Amazon is getting closer to the commercial launch of its satellite broadband network, recently renamed Amazon Leo (formerly Project Kuiper).

With 396 satellites in low Earth orbit successfully deployed, the company has put in place the minimum infrastructure needed to begin beta services by the end of this year.

The tech giant has committed more than $10 billion to the program, which aims to expand the fleet to exceed 3,200 satellites by 2029.

🛰 Amazon’s satellite internet service, dubbed Amazon Leo (formerly Project Kuiper), deployed more than 390 satellites in low Earth orbit and is preparing for its commercial launch to compete directly with Starlink.
