In a new incident that highlights the dangers of blind trust in celebrity accounts, accounts linked to SpaceX and Starlink on the X platform were exploited to promote a meme coin named SCATMAN on the Robinhood Chain network.
According to Lookonchain data, the attacker managed to exploit the accounts and spread the coin promotion, prompting investors to buy quickly, causing the coin’s market value to temporarily rise to about $32 million before the attacker sold their holdings and made profits of around 135 thousand dollars in ETH.
This incident reflects a recurring problem in the meme coin market:
🔹 Compromised “trusted” account = false trust and fast entry by traders.
