Pendle Launches NGI+, Expanding the RWA Yield Market
Pendle has launched a strategy token, NGI+, from Partners Group Next Generation Infrastructure, tokenized by AssetoFinance. Its maturity date is December 10, 2026, with a fixed yield of approximately 19% at launch. Partners Group manages approximately $186 billion in assets, and the related infrastructure fund has a size exceeding $1 billion. This is generally positive for PENDLE and the RWA yield track: Pendle isn’t just facilitating trading of stablecoin and LST yield—it’s bringing yield from private infrastructure funds onto the blockchain for on-chain pricing. The newly added PT/YT market may also bring more trading activity and fees. In the short term, capital will likely continue trading the narrative of “institutional-grade RWA on-chain.” However, 19% is a fixed yield rate priced by the market, not the fund’s promised returns. Chasing higher PENDLE still depends on whether trading volume and RWA capital inflows can remain sustained.
