An IBAN is the international format for identifying a bank account. In the UAE it starts with AE and runs to 23 characters, including two check digits that catch most typing mistakes before money moves.
On P2P it matters twice. First, one wrong character can send money to the wrong place or bounce it back days later - copy it, do not retype it. Second, the name on the account must match the verified name on the order. A payment from someone else's account is the classic setup for a dispute, because the real account holder can claim it back long after the crypto has gone. Right number, right name, every time.
💬 Do you copy-paste IBANs or type them? Ever had a transfer bounce?
