【While everyone is waiting for 75k, I’m already pondering another question】
To be honest, a lot of folks have been asking me if BTC is still a buy. I didn’t give a direct answer because most of those asking have no idea what they’re really waiting for.
They’re not waiting for a price; they’re waiting for confirmation. Waiting until they see a bottom before buying, as if that will help them dodge all the risks. The problem is, once everyone is confirmed, is the price you’re buying even going to hold value?
Just take a look at the current market vibes. The Fear and Greed Index is at 25, in the extreme fear zone, even lower than last week. BTC dominance is at 58.1%, nearly 60% of the funds are still in BTC, which tells us what? The money hasn’t left; it’s just sitting tight. Trading volume is sluggish, everyone’s glued to their screens, and nobody dares to make the first move.
In times like this, I’m actually looking at another signal.
BTC has pulled back nearly 40% from its highs. Historically, such a magnitude of adjustment is often where long-term funds quietly accumulate. Note, I’m not saying to go all in right now; I’m saying that at this position, the potential for downside versus upside is starting to tilt.
Support is at 72857, resistance at 78625, and we’re in a consolidation phase, with a directional choice approaching. The dumbest move now is: if you’re bullish, go all-in, if you’re bearish, sit in cash. Position management is always priority number one; I’ve mentioned this many times.
I’m not being bullish; I’m saying that when market sentiment reaches this level, it often indicates the characteristics of a temporary bottom starting to emerge. Sure, it could go lower; I’m not claiming this is the lowest point. But if you’re still holding cash now, what signal are you waiting for to enter the market? Another 10% drop? By then, are you sure you won’t keep waiting?
That’s the question worth pondering.
