Deere Beats Expectations as Construction Emerges as a New Growth Driver
🚜 Deere reported Q3 FY2026 EPS of $5.10, above market expectations, while net income rose 7% to $1.379 billion and equipment net sales increased 6% to nearly $11 billion.
🏗️ Construction & Forestry was the standout segment, with sales up 18% and operating profit surging 84%, helping offset a 6% decline in Production & Precision Ag as demand for large agricultural equipment remained weak.
📈 The company also raised the lower end of its FY2026 net income outlook from $4.5 billion to $4.75 billion while maintaining the $5 billion upper bound. Deere continues to believe 2026 could mark the bottom of the current agricultural equipment cycle.
⚠️ Despite the improving outlook, the U.S. and Canadian large-ag market is still expected to decline 15–20%, while softer crop prices and tariff costs remain key risks to monitor.
