MILLION-DOLLAR HEIST: HOW CRYPTO HACKERS USE FLASH LOANS TO DRAIN DEFI PROJECTS 💻🏦
The news is buzzing again: "Top DeFi protocol hacked for $50 million, project token crashes 80%!" You think hackers breached servers or stole admin passwords. In 90% of cases, it was a Flash Loan Attack.
• What’s a Flash Loan: It’s a unique DeFi mechanism. A hacker can borrow any amount of cash from a protocol (like Aave) without collateral (even $100 million) with a catch. They must return the loan with fees in the SAME blockchain transaction (within seconds).
• The essence of the attack: By getting millions for a few seconds, the hacker distorts the token price in one liquidity pool, buys it cheap in another, quickly pays off the loan, and vanishes with millions in profit. And the project is left bankrupt.
