Take a look at how I optimized a community member's
$BTC long idea from 63,800 to 66,940, moving their original 64,325 entry, 66,840 take-profit, and 63,470 stop-loss by applying support and resistance zones, order blocks, trend extremes, volume profile, and ATR.
🛫 ENTRY
I analyzed the original entry at 64,325.
It sat directly inside a 1h resistance zone between 64,259.5 and 64,411.8. It was also just below a 15m bearish order block spanning from 64,355 to 64,394.
Buying into immediate resistance during a local bearish trend is too risky.
I moved the optimized entry down to 63,668.
This level is the average of the 1h support zone from 63,602.8 to 63,736.1. It aligns perfectly with the 15m trend extreme low at 63,666 and the volume profile value area low at 63,648.52.
💰 TAKE-PROFIT
The original take-profit of 66,840 was far too aggressive.
Reaching it required the price to break through multiple 1h resistance zones. It also had to clear the volume profile value area high at 66,002.84.
I adjusted the optimized take-profit to 64,900.
This smartly front-runs the 1h resistance zone located between 64,636 and 64,948.8. It also safely avoids the 15m bearish order block from 64,911 to 65,073.
This adjustment ensures a high probability of execution.
🛡️ STOP-LOSS
The original stop-loss at 63,470 was structurally sound.
With my new entry position I was able to tighten it further for better capital preservation.
I set the optimized stop-loss to 63,434.
I calculated this by subtracting the 1h ATR of 168.35 from the absolute minimum of the 1h support zone at 63,602.8.
This calculation keeps the stop entirely below the volume profile value area low at 63,648.52 while simultaneously protecting the position against sudden volatility spikes.
⚖️ RISK-TO-REWARD
The original setup provided a risk-to-reward ratio of 1:2.94.
My optimizations completely changed the math on this trade.
This final result is a highly asymmetric trade structure boasting a superior risk-to-reward ratio of 1:5.26.
