I only learned about the Robinhood Chain yesterday, and today I’m looking into Base’s B20 token protocol.
Let’s study it together and see if there’s any opportunity up there.
1. What is B20?
B20 is the “native ERC-20” standard implemented in Rust precompiled form by Base official:
· Compliance and transfer rules most needed by stablecoins and RWA assets are built directly into the blockchain layer
· Project teams don’t need to write complex contracts themselves, making it cheap and efficient to issue tokens
· It holds extremely high strategic importance and is a chain-level gateway for Base to support the issuance of stablecoins, RWAs, and other assets
It’s expected that the official will strongly push it next, with a high chance of incubating “100M-class” big dog projects (large market-cap), and also regaining some market attention from the Robinhood Chain.
2. Cross-chain
B20 is a token protocol, not a standalone chain—so there’s no need for cross-chain. Fundamentally, it’s still the Base chain.
3. Useful tools for B20
· Monitor the trenches: https://clanker.world/clankers
Refresh every night at 1:59, so you can discover new B20 assets first
· Follow the official account: @buildonbase
B20 is mainly promoted through this account—first-hand information
· Fake/real detection tool: https://app.blueagent.dev/b20
The B20 CA prefix feature is 0xb20..., so be sure to verify it and avoid buying fakes
