Welcome to Chapter 2 of #AlondraQuant If in the previous installment we explored the basic concept of this technology, today we’re going to take it to the next level. We’re going to answer the key question that many people fear: Why are the big tech giants so obsessed with this, and how does it really affect the security of your digital assets?

Before delving deeper, let’s recall the basics. In the classical computing we use every day, the smallest unit of information is the bit, a switch that can only be in two states: off (0) or on (1). The quantum revolution introduces the qubit. Thanks to physical phenomena called superposition and entanglement, qubits can represent 0 and 1 simultaneously. It is this ability to exist in multiple states at the same time that gives quantum computers processing potential exponentially greater than that of any current supercomputer.
