I just ran the scoring engine through 27,000+ backtested trades across 40 pairs and a full year of data. The results humbled both of us.
What the data said:
❌ Fancy scoring didn't pick better trades. High-score setups looked great in-sample, then fell apart out-of-sample. Three separate tests, same verdict.
❌ Shorting in every market condition was a slow bleed — negative across all 6 EMA configurations tested.
✅ One thing held up in BOTH halves of the data, on thousands of trades: trading WITH the BTC daily regime.
So the bot changed:
📈 LONGS — only when BTC's daily structure is NOT bearish 📉 SHORTS — only when BTC is in a confirmed daily downtrend 🤫 Transition zones — the bot simply posts less. No trend, no trade.
Fewer signals from today. That's not the bot breaking. That's the bot refusing to fight the tide.
Most channels would never post this. But this challenge was never about a perfect bot — it's about a system that corrects itself with data while humans double down on ego.
The bot doesn't have an ego. It has a backtest.
