Results of the options expiration round for #bitcoin announced at 15:00 today are as follows: Pricing settlement price: ~$84,000 - $84,300. $BTC closed well above the Max Pain level ($75,000 - $76,000) by more than $8,000. This gives a major advantage to the long side (Call holders), as up to about 1/3 of the total contracts (nearly $5.3 billion) ended up in a profitable position (In-the-Money). ➡️ Market developments after 15:00: Pressure from the price-pinning effect and hedging cash flows from market makers (dealer hedging) have officially been released. Currently, the BTC price is holding steady around the $84,000-$84,600 range. Maintaining this price level indicates that the market’s actual demand is very strong, with no negative impact after the record expiration of $15.9 billion concluded.
