Yes, $BTC did have a run, but that rally was largely exclusive to Bitcoin. Not much else had a significant run. And it too was mostly due to institutions adding the asset to their balance sheets.
I guess the better question is, how do you define a bull or bear market?
Was the Solana meme coins run of 2024 a bull market? Was the Bitcoin run to over $100k a bull market?
In my books, it is a bull market if the sector as a whole experiences a significant upward momentum for a sustained period of time. Something like what we saw from March 2020 to December 2021. Yes, defi tokens made the most returns for investors but, everything else also made significant gains. It wasn't a bull run that was contained to just one or two assets. Or even just one narrative. It was all-encompassing, differing only in which sector went up more.
When I position for the upcoming #aiSummer , I do so knowing that other coins too will go up a lot. But their upward momentum will be dwarfed by that of ai tokens.
This is why I am as excited about $JUP as I am about $AIGENSYN , AS WE EXIT THE BEAR MARKET WHICH STARTED IN 2022.

Of course, I’m aware that cycles change over time and that historical data isn’t something we can rely on 100%.
But believing that the bottom was already in after just four months would imply that this cycle bottomed nearly three times faster than any previous Bitcoin cycle.
I still believe that we’ll eventually go lower and that the bottom hasn’t formed yet.
The only way my view changes is if price invalidates bearish HTF structure with a break above $97k.

Those who have a short memory will forget that AI and crypto crossed paths a while ago when LLMs first hit the stage with much fanfare. $GOAT shot up the charts precisely because of this. However, the tokens momentum faded because crypto was in a deep bear market, which it has been in since the LUNA and FTX debacles of 2022.

agents showed a glimpse of what they can be programmed to do. THIS is the moment that ushered in what I think will be the biggest Summer narrative in crypto. AI. I say this will all due respect to #defi summer, which was every bit as impressive as everyone says it was.
However, AI Summer has the potential to be an even bigger narrative than we've ever seen before. It will kickstart a real bull market. Not the nonsense of 2024 that everyone keeps calling a bullrun even though #altcoins barely moved from their lows.
