You can have a 55% win rate and still be profitable.
You can have an 80% win rate and still blow your account.
Here's how 👇
THE MATH THAT MATTERS:
❌ BAD RISK MANAGEMENT:
Account: $1,000
Risk per trade: 20% = $200
5 losses in a row: Account = $0
(This happens. Even to good traders.)
✅ GOOD RISK MANAGEMENT:
Account: $1,000
Risk per trade: 1% = $10
5 losses in a row: Account = $950
You're still alive. Still trading. 🧠
THE FORMULA I USE:
Position Size = (Account × Risk%) ÷ SL in %
Example:
Account: $1,000
Risk: 1% = $10
SL distance: 2%
Position Size = $10 ÷ 0.02 = $500
So you open a $500 position.
If it hits SL (-2%) = you lose $10 = 1% of account. ✅
📌 My Rules:
• Never risk more than 1-2% per trade
• Never add to a losing position
• Always set SL BEFORE entering
• RR minimum 1:1 on every trade
With these rules:
