XDC Network Selects Concordium for AI Agent Identity Verification.
XDC Network has selected Concordium as the exclusive identity verification layer for XDC AI, its marketplace where AI agents can discover services and make payments in USDC. The integration allows each verified agent to carry a public badge confirming that a verified individual or business stands behind it, without exposing the owner’s personal information on-chain.
Owners can verify their identity through Concordium Wallet using a passport and a liveness check, then link their XDC wallet to register their agent. This adds accountability to autonomous crypto payments while keeping sensitive identity data private. Disclosure requires a court order and joint action by independent Privacy Guardians.
The integration also marks Concordium’s first full-network deployment, expanding its agent verification capabilities beyond Ethereum and Solana. Developers can retain their existing XDC wallets and agent infrastructure, while sponsored network fees mean they do not need to hold CCD tokens to complete verification.
The broader goal is to make AI agents more trustworthy as they gain the ability to manage wallets, pay for services and execute transactions autonomously. By linking each agent to a verified owner without making that person’s identity public, XDC and Concordium are addressing a key challenge for institutional adoption of AI-driven payments.
