$SOL
A shadowy figure calling itself CyberLeek says it’s holding the complete, unreleased Grand Theft Auto VI — and it’s using a Solana memecoin’s market cap as a countdown clock to force Take-Two’s hand.
On October 10, an anonymous account going by CyberLeek published a statement titled “The Offer”: release the full, unreleased build of Grand Theft Auto VI — ending, credits, the whole single-player campaign — unless Take-Two Interactive (TTWO) agrees to two demands, a public apology and a commitment to ship the game on physical discs. The trigger isn’t a deadline. It’s a number: $30 million. That’s the market cap CyberLeek’s associated memecoin, CYBERLEEK, needs to hit before the threat goes live.
Traders didn’t wait to find out if it was real. The token surged over 270% in 24 hours.
KEY FACTS
▪️ CyberLeek’s “Offer” statement was published October 10, per gaming outlet Inven Global
▪️ CYBERLEEK trades on Solana — a separate, unaffiliated token from Solana’s native SOL
▪️ The coin’s market cap hit roughly $5.95 million on Sunday, still well short of the $30M trigger, after a reported 273%+ single-day gain
▪️ No deadline was specified — only the market-cap threshold
▪️ GTA 6 is scheduled to launch November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S
WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT FROM A TYPICAL LEAK
This isn’t the first time footage tied to CyberLeek has surfaced — clips attributed to the same source have circulated since August, with roughly 25 minutes more appearing in October, some described by gaming outlets as plausible-looking. But “The Offer” is a shift in tactic: instead of just leaking, CyberLeek is turning a memecoin’s price chart into a public pressure gauge — inviting anyone who wants to see the leak to financially become part of the threat. Every dollar that flows into CYBERLEEK pushes the countdown forward, whether or not the game ever actually leaks.
WHAT’S VERIFIED — AND WHAT ISN’T
Here’s what hasn’t been confirmed by anyone outside CyberLeek itself: that it actually possesses a complete build of GTA 6, that the build is playable rather than just footage, or that it has any real way to distribute it at scale. Seeking Alpha, which first reported the statement, says it could not independently verify any of these claims. Take-Two has pursued subpoenas against Microsoft and Discord in the past over unauthorized GTA 6 footage — but that effort predates this specific threat and doesn’t confirm CyberLeek’s identity or capability.
In short: the leak could be real. It could also be nothing more than a memecoin promotion wearing a scary mask. Nobody outside CyberLeek currently knows which.
WHY TRADERS ARE PILING IN ANYWAY
A $30 million market cap sounds dramatic, but it doesn’t mean CyberLeek has or would receive $30 million in cash — it’s just the theoretical value of circulating supply at the current price. That means the “threshold” is something speculative buying can push toward regardless of whether the leak claim is true — exactly the setup that makes a memecoin volatile in both directions. A rally built on a threat can unwind just as fast if the deadline passes with nothing delivered.
WHAT’S ACTUALLY AT STAKE FOR TAKE-TWO
▪️ A genuinely playable pre-launch copy would open the door to real piracy risk ahead of November 19 — though still unproven
▪️ Footage-only leaks risk spoiling Rockstar’s marketing and story beats more than they risk actual sales
Neither scenario has verified evidence behind it. Analysts covering TTWO stock say the financial impact remains speculative until more evidence emerges.
WHAT TO WATCH
▪️ Whether CYBERLEEK’s market cap keeps climbing toward $30M, and how fast
▪️ Any official response from Take-Two or Rockstar Games
▪️ Whether new claims add actual verification of CyberLeek’s possession of the game
BOTTOM LINE
This is a leak threat wrapped inside a trading instrument — so the usual skepticism for both applies at once. Treat the leak claim like any unverified “I have it all” statement deserves. Treat the token like any coin whose entire value proposition is “watch what happens if enough people buy it” deserves. Right now, neither the game’s fate nor the coin’s is decided by anything except attention.
Would you want this leak to actually happen, or is a threat like this one best starved of the attention - and the money - fueling it?
