$BTC transfers on bitcoin itself,
private
with no soft fork.
the paper is Shielded Bitcoin, from Clara
Shikhelman, Mikhail Komarov and Aleksei
Moskvin at [[alloc] init]. bitcoin already
proves ownership without a custodian. it
also publishes amounts, timing and the
links between wallets, which is a problem
for treasuries, desks and anyone moving
sİze.
their fix is a metaprotocol on L1, closer to a
Zcash-style shielded pool than a nevw
chain. a sender seals an encrypted note for
the receiver, then publishes it inside a
normal bitcoin transaction with a zero-
knowledge proof and a nullifier that marks
the old note spent. the data can sit in
OP_RETURN or witness space. bitcoin
stores the bytes and orders them. it does
not read the amount or the counterparty.

market can move
BTC pushed toward $87K while ETH moved
above $2,800, showing strong momentum
across the two biggest crypto assets.
The rebound came as lower oil prices,
softer yields and short covering helped
improve market sentiment.
But for me, the bigger question is what
happens next.
A fast move is interesting, but I want to see
whether real buying demand can keep
supporting these levels.
If BTC continues holding its strength and
ETH follows, the next few sessions could

pain sits $10K below the current price...
yeah, expect some chaos.
That doesn't mean Bitcoin has to dump
straight to max pain. We've seen BTC
completely ignore it before.
What matters is how price reacts if they try
to push it lower. If sellers hit hard and
Bitcoin keeps holding support, that tells me
buyers are still in control.
Expect volatility, fakeouts and probably a
lot of overleveraged traders getting wiped
on both sides.
Expiry can create short-term noise, but I'm
not changing my bigger view because of
one options event.
Sometimes the market shakes everyone
out first... then makes the real move.

1. This is only a deviation, and price
retraces the entire move over the next
couple weeks before sweeping the
previous lows at 74K. This scenario
becomes much less likely if weekly
candles start closing above the previous
range highs.
2. Price forms a new range and
consolidates in the 80K's, forming a multi-
month range before another leg higher.
Scenario 2 is already becoming more
likely, and that likelihood wil continue to
increase if more weekly candles close
above the previous range highs.
Either way, longing here doesn't make
sense. It's better to wait for the optimal
entries in the green zones.

$BTC Bitcoin's Supply ls Getting Older
A growing share of $BTC hasn't moved
for years. Recent on-chain data shows
long-term holders continuing to control a
large portion of Bitcoin's circulating supply,
even after the market's major price swings.
That matters because Bitcoin's headline
supply and its tradable supply are two
different things. Coins sitting untouched in
long-term wallets aren't necessarily
available when a new buyer enters the
market.
But I wouldn't automatically call old supply
bullish. Dormant coins can wake up, and
long-term holders often become an
important source of selling when prices rise
enough.
That's why l'd rather watch when old Bitcoin
starts moving again than simply celebrate
the fact that it hasn't moved yet.
