If you are looking for excitement, adrenaline, and dopamine hits, go to a casino or go skydiving. Real, professional trading is actually a very boring activity. It consists of sitting on your hands for hours, waiting for your specific criteria to align, executing the trade without hesitation, and then waiting again.
Amateurs are addicted to the "action." They overtrade because they feel unproductive if they aren't in a position. But in this game, having no position (being in cash) is a position itself. It is a position of strength and readiness. Don't confuse activity with productivity. A sniper lies in the grass for days for one perfect shot; a machine gunner sprays ammo everywhere and hits nothing. Be the sniper. If you are bored, you are probably doing it right.
