⛽Oil, Middle East and crypto 🚧🚥😶🧧
Nobody told me I needed to watch oil prices to understand crypto 👀
Here's what happened this week —
Brent crude climbed back above $101 a barrel as security concerns around Middle East oil shipments intensified.
At least seven tanker attacks happened during the first week of October alone.🙁
And Bitcoin dropped to $84,286. More than $403 million in leveraged crypto longs were liquidated within one hour during the selling.
Oil up. 🚀
Dollar up. 🚀
Treasury yields up. 🚀
CRYPTO down. 📉📉📉📉
All on the same day.
But here's the part that keeps me calm,
24,073 BTC left exchanges on net Monday,the biggest single-day withdrawal since March 1. Bitcoin held on exchanges fell to roughly 6.5% of supply.
People are REMOVING Bitcoin from exchanges during this dip.
Not selling.
Moving to cold storage.
That's accumulation behavior, not panic.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $2.4 billion in the penultimate week of September — their best since October 2025.
The geopolitical noise is real.
The institutional conviction is also real.
Both things are true at the same time 🤷♀️.
