🔹 2010: When 5 BTC Was Free – The Greatest Trade No One Saw Coming
Imagine stepping into a time machine and landing in 2010. You visit a simple website, solve a captcha, and receive 5 BTC for free. No hype, no speculation—just digital gold being handed out like spare change.
Fast forward to today, and those 5 BTC are worth nearly $350,000. What once seemed like an experiment is now the backbone of a trillion-dollar industry.
⏳ The Lessons from History • Scarcity breeds value: Bitcoin’s supply remains capped at 21M, and every cycle proves that fewer people truly “own” BTC than they think. • Narrative shifts create wealth: In 2010, BTC was internet magic. In 2024, it’s a financial revolution backed by institutions and nation-states. • Early adoption isn’t about luck—it’s about conviction: Those who dismissed BTC in 2010 as “worthless” missed out on one of the greatest financial opportunities in history.
🚀 The Future Is Still Unwritten
Yes, Bitcoin at $75K feels expensive. But so did $100, $1,000, and $10,000 at different points in time. If history has taught us anything, it’s that today’s skeptics are tomorrow’s regretful onlookers.
What will your future self wish you had done today?
After a long while, I’m looking at the cover of that magazine—the one with the questionable credibility.
Taking a straightforward look at it: in November, a warship (Iran, perhaps?) fires upon a cake representing the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Following this, a situation unfolds involving missile launches and aerial bombardments (an escalation of the conflict between Iran and the U.S., perhaps?).
And then, there’s the sequence showing the arrest of an individual raising their right fist (🐯, perhaps?).
That’s one way to interpret it, though I’m not sure if it’s accurate or not 😅 #TheEconomist
Major companies within the key U.S. indices are already beginning to experience sharp declines.
I’ve been warning about this for weeks—the bubble we’re seeing in AI is massive.
The stock markets in China, South Korea, and Japan are already in a confirmed bear market; it’s only a matter of time before the same happens in Europe and the U.S.
Currently, value in the markets lies in $BTC & Crypto—a sector that has recently emerged from a bear market that began in 2025.
Are we seeing a healthy market correction, or is this the beginning of something much bigger? HEALTHY Everyone’s calling AI a bubble. In 2000, tech stocks cost double the market. Today they cost the same. Bubbles don’t look like this.
In a bubble, the forecast feeds on itself. Booming spending (on internet build-out then, AI now) inflates expected profits, so a low forward P/E can be a low number built on peak forecasts.
I like to look at the Cynically adjusted PE radio (CAPE) which uses 10 yers of actual inflation-adjusted earnings. The down side it is BACKWARD looking, which means it's also robust to a rosy outlook.
In terms of bubble timing, I don't know, because the CAPE is a terrible timing tool. But it is a very good 10-year outlook tool one and at 40.9, history says expect low returns for the next decade.
