Revoking token approval is not an exit button for your DeFi position.

An approval gives a smart contract permission to spend a particular token from your wallet. Revoking that permission does not automatically withdraw assets you already deposited into staking, lending, or a liquidity pool.

Why it matters: an approval cleanup and a position exit solve different problems. If you want to leave a protocol, check its withdrawal process separately; do not assume a successful revocation returned your deposit.

The risk: funds still inside the protocol remain exposed to its risks. Revocation also costs a network fee, and using the contract again may require a new approval.

Practical check: verify both your remaining positions and your token permissions—not just one screen.
