The Fed hiked 25bp to 3.75-4.00% on September 16, the first hike since 2023. BTC has been red three straight days since, slipping under $84K.

Here's the part that stands out: funding is still positive on 24 of 25 largest BTC perpetuals, running around 8% annualized. That means leveraged longs are still paying up to stay long even as spot bleeds lower. Positioning hasn't capitulated, and market-implied odds of another 25bp hike in October are already near 70%, up from about 56% in August.

If longs keep paying through more downside, that's fuel for a sharper flush once funding finally breaks. If they get squeezed out first, funding flips negative and shorts start paying.

Where do you think that funding rate breaks first?
