SecondFi Shuts Down After $2.4M Cardano Wallet Exploit
SecondFi, a Cardano wallet, is shutting down after attackers exploited a flaw in its transaction-signing software.
Around 16.1M $ADA (approximately $2.4M) was stolen The exploit affected 374 wallets The incident underscores the importance of secure transaction-signing infrastructure in crypto wallets.
The exploiter behind Drift Protocol’s $285M hack is moving funds after three months, sending $ETH to Tornado Cash in rapid 100 $ETH batches per Arkham data. #ETH

What is post-quantum encryption and why does it matter now? Post-quantum encryption sounds like science fiction. It isn't. How current encryption works Most encryption, Signal, WhatsApp, iMessage relies on a simple principle: some calculations are easy to do but nearly impossible to reverse. Finding which two prime numbers were multiplied to produce a large number takes conventional computers thousands of years. That's the lock your messages depend on. The quantum problem Quantum computers evaluate many possibilities simultaneously. In 1994, mathematician Peter Shor proved a sufficiently powerful quantum computer could break today's most common encryption not in thousands of years, but in hours. That computer doesn't exist at scale yet. But it's being built. Harvest now, decrypt later Governments and intelligence agencies don't need to break encryption today. They're collecting and storing encrypted data now waiting for quantum computing to mature. Your messages from 2024. Your financial data from 2025. Everything encrypted today could become readable tomorrow. This is already happening. The post-quantum response In 2024, NIST officially standardized the first post-quantum algorithms, including CRYSTALS-Kyber designed for secure key exchange against quantum threats. This isn't theoretical anymore. Liberdus Most messaging apps are still running on encryption quantum computers will eventually break. @Liberdus combines CRYSTALS-Kyber with AES-256 by default, for every message, today. Not on the roadmap. In the protocol. The quantum threat isn't here yet. But the data collected today will still exist when it arrives. 🔗 liberdus.com #Liberdus $LIB #XRP $XRP
Same pattern on $LAB , #SIREN , $RAVE and $DEXE looks a bit dodgy. Potential setup for another pump if the market turns bullish by the end of the week. Do you think this is a good move, or have you spotted another gem on your radar?
You trust your bank with your money. If someone tries to access your account without permission, there are laws, systems, and insurance to protect you. The entire infrastructure of modern finance exists to make sure your assets don't disappear without consequence. You trust WhatsApp with your secrets. Who you talk to. What you say. When you say it. Information that could affect your relationships, your career, your safety. And the infrastructure protecting that? A corporation owned by the world's largest advertising company, running on centralized servers, subject to lawful requests from any government with jurisdiction. One of those is insured. The asymmetry is striking. We built entire legal and technical systems to protect money. We handed our private communication to platforms whose business model runs on attention and behavioral data and called it progress. @Liberdus treats your communication the way a vault treats your assets. No central authority. No metadata collection. No company that can be compelled to hand anything over. Your words deserve the same protection as your money. #Liberdus $ LIB #XRP $XRP

WhatsApp added end-to-end encryption in 2016. More recently, it introduced usernames as an alternative to sharing phone numbers. Every few months, a new privacy feature gets announced. The problem isn't the features. It's who owns the infrastructure. WhatsApp is a Meta product. The messages may be encrypted, but the metadata who you talk to, when, how often, from where flows through servers that belong to a company whose entire business model is built on behavioral data. Lawful requests typically target endpoints and centralized infrastructure, and WhatsApp has both. Every privacy feature WhatsApp adds is built on top of a foundation designed for the opposite purpose. @Liberdus doesn't add privacy on top of a surveillance architecture. It starts from a different premise entirely no central authority, no metadata collection by design, no company that can be compelled to hand over anything. You can't fix a foundation with features. You have to build a different one. #Liberdus $ LIB #XRP $XRP
